Terms and Conditions of Service

1.Definitions

  • “Company” refers to Plan-It Traffic Management Ltd.

  • “Client” refers to any individual, business, or organisation using our services.

  • “Services” refers to traffic management planning, equipment hire, signage, traffic control personnel, road closure support, and related consultancy.

  • “Agreement” refers to these Terms and Conditions and any service quote or contract provided.

2. Scope of Work

  • The Company will provide services as outlined in the agreed quotation or service agreement.

  • Any additional services or changes must be agreed upon in writing and may incur additional charges.

3. Quotations & Payment

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • A deposit or full payment may be required before commencement of work.

  • Payment terms are strictly 14 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise agreed.

  • Late payments may incur interest charges in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client is responsible for:

    • Obtaining any required permits or road space bookings unless otherwise agreed.

    • Providing accurate site information and access.

    • Ensuring a safe working environment for our staff.

    • The Company cannot be held liable for delays caused by insufficient client information or third-party delays.

5. Permits & Legal Compliance

  • Plan-It can assist with applications for road closures, traffic orders, and permits if included in the service package.

  • All services will comply with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and relevant UK legislation.

  • The Company accepts no liability if a permit is denied or delayed by local authorities unless due to our own error.

6. Cancellations & Postponements

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of scheduled work may be subject to a cancellation fee (up to 50% of the total cost).

  • If the job is postponed or rescheduled, we will do our best to accommodate changes but reserve the right to charge reasonable rescheduling fees.

7. Liability

  • Plan-It Traffic Management Ltd shall not be liable for:

    • Any indirect or consequential loss.

    • Delays due to weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

    • Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the services provided.

8. Insurance

  • The Company holds public liability insurance, employer’s liability insurance, and professional indemnity insurance as required for industry compliance.

  • Proof of insurance can be provided on request.

9. Health & Safety

  • Safety is paramount. Our operatives are fully trained and adhere to all current health and safety regulations.

  • The Company reserves the right to withdraw services without refund if health and safety are compromised by site conditions or client actions.

10. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the agreement in writing if the other breaches material terms and fails to remedy within 7 days of written notice.

  • Any outstanding charges will remain payable.

11. Confidentiality

  • Both parties agree to keep confidential all commercially sensitive or proprietary information.

12. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Amendments

  • Plan-It Traffic Management Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of material changes.
